“We have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one throughout this entire toddler journey.”
Parents of Reiwa
We would like to take this chance to write a testimonial for Ma Lao Shi and would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to her for putting up such a detailed e-portfolio.
Special thanks to Ma Lao Shi for playing an incredible role in showering love and warmth to our little one, Reiwa, who has joined the preschool since 18 months old. We have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one throughout this entire toddler journey. It’s always wonderful seeing our daughter get excited about going to school every day and mentioning how much she loves to see Ma Lao Shi every now and then. We can tell that Ma Lao Shi really makes an effort to engage our little one and develop her in a very individualized way. We appreciate it! Once again, a big shout-out to Ma Lao Shi for her unwavering love and support throughout Reiwa’s entire toddler journey!
“I’ve watched my twins develop into confident, happy and inquisitive children with their balanced curriculum.”
Parents of Heston and Harvey
“It takes a village to raise a child and I am truly delighted that it is what we parents at Cambridge at Serangoon Gardens get to experience. My twins, Heston & Harvey joined Cambridge at 18 months old and I have witnessed them grow in leaps and bounds. We are extremely thankful to the team of dedicated teachers and professionals there who ensure that learning also happens beyond the classroom. I’ve watched my twins develop into a confident, happy and inquisitive child with their balanced curriculum.
Thank you to everyone in Cambridge at Serangoon Gardens for their commitment to ensuring uncompromising standards for our kids, every single day.”
“Thank you for encouraging me to help him further in his Chinese language.”
Parents of Jaden
“It was a pleasant experience when you took the initiative to introduce yourself as Jaden’s teacher on one of the rare times when I appeared in school. Thank you for the impromptu feedback you gave me about Jaden’s performance and encouraging me to help him improve further in his Chinese Language. Jaden has developed an interest for Chinese Language (my biggest fear is he doesn’t want to speak Mandarin!) because of you and we can see his improvement and motivation as compared to last year! Thank you so much!”
He understands that “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work”.
Parents of Aarav
Being in Cambridge Serangoon Gardens has allowed Aarav to interact with friends and family in a cohesive manner. He has learnt how to negotiate and problem solve. He has learnt the concept of sharing. This has allowed him to recognise that if he shares, he will be able to have more toys and have more fun. Aarav has acquired the skill of working in pairs/small teams through building activities. He understands that “team work makes the dream work”.
His psychomotor skills in terms of his sense of balance and climbing obstacles has improved greatly. Having lessons that cater to these skills, such as TinyTots Soccer, we are able to see that he is more confident at the playground and is able to assess the risk mentally or verbalise his questions to find out the difficulty of the obstacles before attempting to climb it. His movement is better coordinated as well(hand-eye/foot-eye) .
He appreciates music and is able to catch tunes faster. Through songs that are repetitive and enjoyable, he is able to remember the title of songs and requests for it to be played at times. He also loves to move to the beat when encouraged. Aarav is also able to recognise the lyrics and sing along. For the songs he has watched the music videos of, he is able to visualise and verbalise the scene with the audio alone.
Aarav expresses his feelings (sad, happy, angry, upset) better. Through feedback from his teachers at Cambridge Serangoon Garden, we are able to, as parents and family, practise the communication skills taught to him. His ability to make himself understood through speech has improved greatly. He verbalises his likes/dislikes clearly.
Aarav’s fine motor and gross motor skills have improved. His grip and grasp has gotten stronger and he is able to pick/carry bigger items with little assistance. He was apprehensive when it came to playing with sand and slimy items when he was younger, but through the kinesthetic activities in school, where everyday objects such as ice cream sticks and finger painting is done, he has since become more confident. Overall, his muscular strength has improved greatly as he is able to perform daily tasks independently with little assistance.
Aarav’s knowledge about numbers and digits has also grown. He is able to count with his as the lift ascends to his house and will start recognising bus numbers as we drive along the roads. He pays attention to these details and is able to understand simple number concepts.
We believe that through these and many other activities in school, Aarav’s cognisance of his world and how to interact socially with the other children around him has increased. Being at Cambridge Serangoon Gardens has truly been and continues to be a great learning platform for Aarav in his journey as a toddler and beyond.
“Deeply grateful for your support in managing my child’s separation anxiety…”
Parents of Reiwa
As a new and first-time parent of our little girl who just turned 20 months old, we are pleased to mention that we have made the right choice in placing her at Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens.
We are appreciative of the constant updates on my little girl’s progress through Parent CommApp. We look forward to reading the daily routine care, weekly class updates and pictures to see what she has been up in school. This gives us strong assurance that our little one is in the good hands of the well-trained teachers while we are at work.
Special mention to Ma Lao Shi and Teacher Roan:
Thank you and we are deeply grateful for your support in managing my child’s separation anxiety when she first started playgroup at 18 months old! Your amazing care and love towards Reiwa are truly exceptional! By taking into consideration the uniqueness of the child’s needs and through your conscientious patience, our little one is able to eat and sleep well and enjoy learning from the school activities! Apart from the regular updates, valuable advices from both of you have made our little one transitioned seamlessly. Indeed, we have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one after enrolling into this school.
The special and detailed attention, patience and great efforts by the teachers make school a wonderful learning place for our little one! All these would not be possible without the leadership of Principal Irene and all the teachers!
Thank You!
“Alice always went to school with a smile.”
Parents of Alice
Dear Miss Irene and all teachers,
Today is Alice’s last day and it is with emotion that we will leave Singapore on next Sunday.
During these 2 years at Cambridge, Alice always went to school with a smile. For us, this is a great signal that she was happy to spend time at Cambridge with her teachers and friends.
As Miss Irene told me last time we met at school, Alice grew up very well during this time. She developed her social skills like being able to play in community, respect rules and persons in a given environment, she also developed her “manual skills” when building things… And on top of it, she learned how to speak English and Chinese, and we are sure a bit of Singlish 🙂
Thanks a lot for taking care of Alice during all this time, we will definitely remember that her first school was Cambridge in Singapore.
We will share with you a picture of our family with Alice wearing her uniform in the coming days.
We wish you all the best for the future,
“…teachers spent the extra effort and gave her one-on-one guidance”
Parents of Ember
Ember has been attending Cambridge since she was 20 months old. The teachers have been extremely caring and understanding. My daughter was anxious initially but grew very attached to the teachers in her toddler class. When she was a picky eater in N1, her teachers were patient and encouraging and managed to get her to try foods that she really did not feel comfortable with initially. In N2, she lagged behind her classmates in writing and alphabet recognition, so her teachers spent the extra effort and gave her one-on-one guidance whenever possible. They have encouraged her so much, especially when she wanted to give up her ballet enrichment class. The teachers provided regular updates in the curriculum covered. They also provided regular updates in the app, photos also shared in the app.
I would like to thank Principal Irene, Teacher Khin, Bian Laoshi, Teacher Denise, Teacher Edzel and Liu Laoshi for being so nurturing towards Ember. Her little brother will definitely be joining her soon.
“…made a positive impact on all three of them.”
Parents of Ariel, Aerin & Aldren
We have three lovely children who studied at Cambridge Pre-school since they were 2-year old toddlers.
Ariel graduated from K2 in 2017, while Aerin and Aldren are still attending K1 and N2 respectively this year.
Ariel joined the school as a toddler in 2013, a shy and timid little girl who often cried in school and had strong separation anxiety. Fast forward to today, she is a fun-loving and out-going 7-year old, and someone who always looks forward to primary school to learn new things.
Aerin and Aldren have integrated well in Cambridge under the nurturing care of their wonderful teachers. They excitedly share about the content learnt in school, and interesting learning journeys that they go to during excursions. We are also kept updated of their learning and development through the communication app for parents.
We would like thank all the wonderful staff in Cambridge who have made a positive impact on all three of them during their formative years of early childhood.
“Our children have definitely thrived in the Cambridge environment…”
Ben Nottle, Parent of Holly & Lucy Nottle
We are incredibly blessed to have our children attend Cambridge Preschool!
We have 2 children experiencing the Cambridge education at the moment. One is currently in Kindergarten One and had been with Cambridge since 2015 and the younger is in Nursery Two and joined Cambridge in 2016. Both our children have learnt so much and developed a sense of independence and pride about themselves. The teachers make the children feel special and unique whilst providing them the interpersonal skills and academic skills when they grow on to their next year. We have seen our girls grown more outspoken over the years and when they talk about their teachers and friends every day, we know they are happy and that is what is most important to us.
Having the children pick up the Chinese language is also something we look forward to in Singapore and they definitely did with the wonderful guidance of the teachers in Cambridge. They can speak Mandarin now and my older child can even read a few simple words.
Our children have definitely thrived in the Cambridge environment and we cannot thank all the staff enough for the wonderful experience they have provided for our children.
“… bring out the best in them, be it cognitive or character development.”
Agnes Cheong, Mother of Roy & Ray
I have two sons enrolled in Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens. My elder son, Roy has been with Cambridge Preschool since 2014. As he approaches his last year in kindergarten, I have witnessed how he has grown from a clingy toddler to an independent child who speaks with confidence. The iSTEAM curriculum that was rolled out this year has also sparked Roy’s inquisitiveness and curiosity in exploring science concepts in his daily life. My younger son, Ray started attending the toddler class in June this year and he has integrated into the environment very quickly with the care and love that the teachers showered on him. My two sons have been blessed with dedicated teachers who would go extra miles to bring out the best in them, be it cognitive or character development. I am confident that Cambridge Preschool will prepare my sons well for the next journey that they will embark on in life.
