Voices from Our Parents:

Our son has had great time at school. Before Cambridge, he was struggling in another preschool with loads of homework and strict teachers. Cambridge brought joy back to his study with innovative curriculums and great teachers. We are very happy with our decision to move our son here. Free swimming class is a plus. Serangoon Gardens Country club members can get good discount on the tuition fees.

We wholeheartedly recommend the school to any parents who what their kids to have a great and enjoyable pre-school education.

All my three kids have gone to/is attending Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens. The school campus is nice and clean. The classrooms have a pretty open concept and easy access to toys, teaching materials, books etc. My son enjoys his classes and teachers and the class ratio is a good one in my opinion. The teachers and principal have been very understanding, patient and naturing when it comes to my son's delayed gross motor skills, requiring slightly more attention when it comes to certain activities.

Keep it up!

My child recently enrolled in Cambridge @ SGCC at K1 level and so far we have been incredibly pleased with the learning programme and teachers. The curriculum focuses on iSTEAM topics that are activities are project based with lots of inquiry and experimentation. This has proven to be of great interest to my 5year old and positively influenced his attitude towards school & learning. We can see the active engagement he has with learning through enthusiasm of sharing on knowledge tidbits he has gained in school.

A big thank you to Teacher Joyce and Lei Laoshi who are his teachers in K1. The amount of effort that goes into designing and executing their lessons is very commendable. As well the the time taken to provide individual update to parents on our child’s progress regularly.

My son attended Cambridge in 2021 when he turned 18 months and we have been with them since. When my son first started school, we were very concerned that he couldn't understand mandarin. 马老师 reassured us that he will be in good hands and will be able to pick up mandarin fast. From not being able to understand, to understand and answering (but doesn't speak), to being able to speak mandarin smoothly. We have seen how much efforts the teachers have put in to educate and care for them.

Fast forward to today, our son is already in K1, and he has made tremendous improvements on his learnings. Teacher Edzel and Zhu Lao Shi communicate with us effectively every other day. Knowing that my son's written work is not as great, she asked if she could use N2's book for him to practice every day before he is allowed to play. I thank the teachers, Aunties and Principal for all the love and care they have shown to the kiddos!

Thank you!

5/5 Stars experience at Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens. The teachers are warm, caring, and highly qualified. Our child has made tremendous progress in his social and developmental skills. The preschool has spacious & clean classrooms with their outdoor play area within their compound has been a great fit for our child's learning style. Special thanks to Ms Val, Ma Laoshi, and all the teachers for taking great care of my child. We highly recommend Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens to other families!

Have more than one kid attending this school. The teachers are really very caring, and they know my kids well. They’ve got a great curriculum with fun activities, STEAM based yes but also many cultural/artistic activities. The in-house Chinese AI app is also very engaging, and my kids have asked to play that at home all the time. Also, since it is at the country club, the K1 and K2 kids get to have swimming classes during school time. School food menu is cooked in-house daily and is impressively healthy and varied.

TESTIMONIALS

  • Ellie@ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“Our daughter’s caring teachers … are clearly very passionate about the kids’ well-being and development.”

    Parents of Ellie

We are super grateful for our daughter’s caring teachers, who have been great at communicating how she’s doing in school and are clearly very passionate about the kids’ well-being and development. Our daughter (currently in N1) enjoys going to school every day and talks excitedly about her friends and teachers. In the update we get from the school, I’m always happy to see that she’s engaged in a wide range of activities that help her to grow and develop — from sports and outdoor time, to arts and crafts projects and learning about concepts such as light and shadows. We are often surprised by how well she can apply her learning, such as when she would tell us that the sun and the moon are sources of light, and also appreciate her teachers’ efforts to foster independence e.g. taking off and putting on her own shoes, dressing herself. It’s great to see how she’s really grown during her time at school so far.

  • Caleb @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“We have observed remarkable progress in Caleb’s academic performance and interpersonal skills.”

    Parents of Caleb

Thank you, Teacher Ran, for your unwavering patience and compassionate approach in teaching Caleb and his classmates. Witnessing Caleb’s initial resistance to the new environment and the transition from toddler to N1, we are delighted to see him now thoroughly enjoying every moment in class, eagerly wanting to stay even during pick-up times.
Moreover, we have observed remarkable progress in Caleb’s academic performance and interpersonal skills, which is a testament to your dedicated efforts. Your commitment makes you a true gem in the early childhood development industry. We appreciate your exceptional work in nurturing young minds and creating a positive learning environment.

  • Isabelle @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“My son often returns with many happy stories.”

    Parents of Michael

Teacher Ran is a steady anchor and a wonderful leader in the classroom. One of the things I most appreciate about her is her strong belief that every child is a good child. It shines through in the way she leads the nursery ones, and they respond so well to her leadership. My son often returns with many happy stories of what Teacher Ran planned for them in class, and the kids, despite the transitions they had to face, were all well-adjusted and happy to go to school. Thank you, Teacher Ran!

  • Isabelle @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“Happy teachers often equate to happy kids.”

    Parents of Isabelle

My kids have been attending school at Cambridge Serangoon Pre-school for little under a year now.

I’ve found this centre to be better run than most other centres that I’ve observed.
And I think a big reason for that is down the efforts and competence of the Principal Ms Irene.

In selecting a good pre-school for their kids, many parents focus on the school curriculum and setup, but often overlook the competence and the state of the teachers.

Happy teachers often equate to happy kids.
And in this aspect, Ms Irene has excelled.
She understands perfectly, from her years of experience of being a childcare teacher, that if she treats her teachers well, her teachers will treat their kids well.

Beyond that, Ms Irene exudes a sense of calmness that is thankfully infectious.
She is patient with parents and kids alike.
And she goes to great lengths every few months to connect directly with parents and assure us that our kids are in good hands.

    Never in a big rush.
And always with a warm smile.

Many things can go wrong at a pre-school. Kids are erratic after all.
But as a very engaged parent, I drop my kids off and leave every morning without a worry because I see Ms Irene at the helm

  • Harvey @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“I feel very assured that the school is being run to the best of its ability.”

    Parents of Harvey

Principal Irene greets the children every morning at the school door warmly with smiles and enthusiasm. She is not only a hands-on Principal, she also knows every child by their name. Being both professional and motherly, I feel very assured that the school is being run to the best of its ability with Ms Irene at the helm.

“We have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one throughout this entire toddler journey.”

    Parents of Reiwa

We would like to take this chance to write a testimonial for Ma Lao Shi and would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to her for putting up such a detailed e-portfolio.

Special thanks to Ma Lao Shi for playing an incredible role in showering love and warmth to our little one, Reiwa, who has joined the preschool since 18 months old. We have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one throughout this entire toddler journey. It’s always wonderful seeing our daughter get excited about going to school every day and mentioning how much she loves to see Ma Lao Shi every now and then. We can tell that Ma Lao Shi really makes an effort to engage our little one and develop her in a very individualized way. We appreciate it! Once again, a big shout-out to Ma Lao Shi for her unwavering love and support throughout Reiwa’s entire toddler journey!

“I’ve watched my twins develop into confident, happy and inquisitive children with their balanced curriculum.”

    Parents of Heston and Harvey

“It takes a village to raise a child and I am truly delighted that it is what we parents at Cambridge at Serangoon Gardens get to experience. My twins, Heston & Harvey joined Cambridge at 18 months old and I have witnessed them grow in leaps and bounds. We are extremely thankful to the team of dedicated teachers and professionals there who ensure that learning also happens beyond the classroom. I’ve watched my twins develop into a confident, happy and inquisitive child with their balanced curriculum.

Thank you to everyone in Cambridge at Serangoon Gardens for their commitment to ensuring uncompromising standards for our kids, every single day.”

  • Jaden @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“Thank you for encouraging me to help him further in his Chinese language.”

    Parents of Jaden

“It was a pleasant experience when you took the initiative to introduce yourself as Jaden’s teacher on one of the rare times when I appeared in school. Thank you for the impromptu feedback you gave me about Jaden’s performance and encouraging me to help him improve further in his Chinese Language. Jaden has developed an interest for Chinese Language (my biggest fear is he doesn’t want to speak Mandarin!) because of you and we can see his improvement and motivation as compared to last year! Thank you so much!”

  • Aarav @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

He understands that “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work”.

    Parents of Aarav

Being in Cambridge Serangoon Gardens has allowed Aarav to interact with friends and family in a cohesive manner. He has learnt how to negotiate and problem solve. He has learnt the concept of sharing. This has allowed him to recognise that if he shares, he will be able to have more toys and have more fun. Aarav has acquired the skill of working in pairs/small teams through building activities. He understands that “team work makes the dream work”.

His psychomotor skills in terms of his sense of balance and climbing obstacles has improved greatly. Having lessons that cater to these skills, such as TinyTots Soccer, we are able to see that he is more confident at the playground and is able to assess the risk mentally or verbalise his questions to find out the difficulty of the obstacles before attempting to climb it. His movement is better coordinated as well(hand-eye/foot-eye) .

He appreciates music and is able to catch tunes faster. Through songs that are repetitive and enjoyable, he is able to remember the title of songs and requests for it to be played at times. He also loves to move to the beat when encouraged. Aarav is also able to recognise the lyrics and sing along. For the songs he has watched the music videos of, he is able to visualise and verbalise the scene with the audio alone.

Aarav expresses his feelings (sad, happy, angry, upset) better. Through feedback from his teachers at Cambridge Serangoon Garden, we are able to, as parents and family, practise the communication skills taught to him. His ability to make himself understood through speech has improved greatly. He verbalises his likes/dislikes clearly.

Aarav’s fine motor and gross motor skills have improved. His grip and grasp has gotten stronger and he is able to pick/carry bigger items with little assistance. He was apprehensive when it came to playing with sand and slimy items when he was younger, but through the kinesthetic activities in school, where everyday objects such as ice cream sticks and finger painting is done, he has since become more confident. Overall, his muscular strength has improved greatly as he is able to perform daily tasks independently with little assistance.

Aarav’s knowledge about numbers and digits has also grown. He is able to count with his as the lift ascends to his house and will start recognising bus numbers as we drive along the roads. He pays attention to these details and is able to understand simple number concepts.

We believe that through these and many other activities in school, Aarav’s cognisance of his world and how to interact socially with the other children around him has increased. Being at Cambridge Serangoon Gardens has truly been and continues to be a great learning platform for Aarav in his journey as a toddler and beyond.

  • Reiwa @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“Deeply grateful for your support in managing my child’s separation anxiety…”

    Parents of Reiwa

As a new and first-time parent of our little girl who just turned 20 months old, we are pleased to mention that we have made the right choice in placing her at Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens.

We are appreciative of the constant updates on my little girl’s progress through Parent CommApp. We look forward to reading the daily routine care, weekly class updates and pictures to see what she has been up in school. This gives us strong assurance that our little one is in the good hands of the well-trained teachers while we are at work.

Special mention to Ma Lao Shi and Teacher Roan:

Thank you and we are deeply grateful for your support in managing my child’s separation anxiety when she first started playgroup at 18 months old!  Your amazing care and love towards Reiwa are truly exceptional! By taking into consideration the uniqueness of the child’s needs and through your conscientious patience, our little one is able to eat and sleep well and enjoy learning from the school activities! Apart from the regular updates, valuable advices from both of you have made our little one transitioned seamlessly. Indeed, we have seen tremendous improvements and noticeable developments in our little one after enrolling into this school.

The special and detailed attention, patience and great efforts by the teachers make school a wonderful learning place for our little one! All these would not be possible without the leadership of Principal Irene and all the teachers!

    Thank You!

  • Alice @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“Alice always went to school with a smile.”

    Parents of Alice

Dear Miss Irene and all teachers,

Today is Alice’s last day and it is with emotion that we will leave Singapore on next Sunday.

During these 2 years at Cambridge, Alice always went to school with a smile. For us, this is a great signal that she was happy to spend time at Cambridge with her teachers and friends.

As Miss Irene told me last time we met at school, Alice grew up very well during this time. She developed her social skills like being able to play in community, respect rules and persons in a given environment, she also developed her “manual skills” when building things… And on top of it, she learned how to speak English and Chinese, and we are sure a bit of Singlish 🙂

Thanks a lot for taking care of Alice during all this time, we will definitely remember that her first school was Cambridge in Singapore.

We will share with you a picture of our family with Alice wearing her uniform in the coming days.

We wish you all the best for the future,

  • Ember @ Cambridge Serangoon Gardens

“…teachers spent the extra effort and gave her one-on-one guidance”

    Parents of Ember

Ember has been attending Cambridge since she was 20 months old. The teachers have been extremely caring and understanding. My daughter was anxious initially but grew very attached to the teachers in her toddler class. When she was a picky eater in N1, her teachers were patient and encouraging and managed to get her to try foods that she really did not feel comfortable with initially. In N2, she lagged behind her classmates in writing and alphabet recognition, so her teachers spent the extra effort and gave her one-on-one guidance whenever possible. They have encouraged her so much, especially when she wanted to give up her ballet enrichment class. The teachers provided regular updates in the curriculum covered. They also provided regular updates in the app, photos also shared in the app.

I would like to thank Principal Irene, Teacher Khin, Bian Laoshi, Teacher Denise, Teacher Edzel and Liu Laoshi for being so nurturing towards Ember. Her little brother will definitely be joining her soon.

  • Serangoon Gardens-testimonial-2

“…made a positive impact on all three of them.”

Parents of Ariel, Aerin & Aldren

We have three lovely children who studied at Cambridge Pre-school since they were 2-year old toddlers.

Ariel graduated from K2 in 2017, while Aerin and Aldren are still attending K1 and N2 respectively this year.

Ariel joined the school as a toddler in 2013, a shy and timid little girl who often cried in school and had strong separation anxiety. Fast forward to today, she is a fun-loving and out-going 7-year old, and someone who always looks forward to primary school to learn new things.

Aerin and Aldren have integrated well in Cambridge under the nurturing care of their wonderful teachers. They excitedly share about the content learnt in school, and interesting learning journeys that they go to during excursions. We are also kept updated of their learning and development through the communication app for parents.

We would like thank all the wonderful staff in Cambridge who have made a positive impact on all three of them during their formative years of early childhood.

  • Serangoon Gardens-testimonial-3

“Our children have definitely thrived in the Cambridge environment…”

Ben Nottle, Parent of Holly & Lucy Nottle

We are incredibly blessed to have our children attend Cambridge Preschool!
We have 2 children experiencing the Cambridge education at the moment. One is currently in Kindergarten One and had been with Cambridge since 2015 and the younger is in Nursery Two and joined Cambridge in 2016. Both our children have learnt so much and developed a sense of independence and pride about themselves. The teachers make the children feel special and unique whilst providing them the interpersonal skills and academic skills when they grow on to their next year. We have seen our girls grown more outspoken over the years and when they talk about their teachers and friends every day, we know they are happy and that is what is most important to us.

Having the children pick up the Chinese language is also something we look forward to in Singapore and they definitely did with the wonderful guidance of the teachers in Cambridge. They can speak Mandarin now and my older child can even read a few simple words.

Our children have definitely thrived in the Cambridge environment and we cannot thank all the staff enough for the wonderful experience they have provided for our children.

  • Serangoon Gardens-testimonial-1

“… bring out the best in them, be it cognitive or character development.”

Agnes Cheong, Mother of Roy & Ray

I have two sons enrolled in Cambridge @ Serangoon Gardens. My elder son, Roy has been with Cambridge Preschool since 2014. As he approaches his last year in kindergarten, I have witnessed how he has grown from a clingy toddler to an independent child who speaks with confidence. The iSTEAM curriculum that was rolled out this year has also sparked Roy’s inquisitiveness and curiosity in exploring science concepts in his daily life. My younger son, Ray started attending the toddler class in June this year and he has integrated into the environment very quickly with the care and love that the teachers showered on him. My two sons have been blessed with dedicated teachers who would go extra miles to bring out the best in them, be it cognitive or character development. I am confident that Cambridge Preschool will prepare my sons well for the next journey that they will embark on in life.
