During their iSTEAM lesson, the Cambridge @ Midwood Kinder children participated in the Archimedes’ Screw Experiment! They learnt about the Archimedes’ screw, an ancient invention used to move water from lower to higher levels, often used in farming. The children observed how turning the screw moves the water, highlighting cause-and-effect relationships. They made predictions about what would happen when they changed variables like the height of the collection container or the speed of turning. This hands-on experiment helped them understand the principles of simple machines and their use in everyday life.
